The MSL-500 is protected by a punch activated spring-loaded relocking device. When a thief tries to knock the lock's back-plate off, the lock's internal spring-loaded re-locker activates, preventing the tumbler from completely turning and thus keeping the locking bolt (in the lock housing) from retracting.
